Weight Loss Tips For Teens

Weight Loss Tips For Teens
The last research shows that 20 per cent of the kids between 10 and 19 years are overweighed. That seems to turn into pandemics as 10 years ago the percentage was not higher than 12%. The research has also shown that the number of overweighed teens is highest in the USA, UK and some of the European countries.

But what should we do? It seems like a global problem and we do not know how to solve it! Don't you wonder why there are so many children who suffer from the disease called overweight? I am sure that you know the answers to those questions because they are just obvious. The children have never been so lazy and they have never led such a sedentary life. All they do is playing games on their PC, surfing the net and eating junk food.

Junk food- basically, it is the only thing which the teenagers consume- pizza, crisps, fries, coke and the other fizzy drinks. You probably have also heard of the GM (genetically modified) food, which is also considered to be responsible for the teens' weight problems.

So, the conclusion is that most of the teens need to go on a slim diet or at least they definitely need weight loss tips. Unfortunately, the situation is quite complicated as those kids are growing now more than ever and their bodies need vitamins, antioxidants, carbohydrates, proteins, fibers and even fats. It would be totally irresponsible if we just made the teens stop eating and start starving so that they can lose the extra kilos. No, we cannot do it! But there is something else which we can do- something which will make the teens healthier, will help them lose weight and will not have a negative effect on their growth! It sounds like the perfect solution, doesn't it? Yes, it really is!

What the parents should start doing is drawing attention to what their kids eat and drink. Parents should not allow their teen-children to eat junk food or consume coke and other fizzy drinks. Of course the parents should get support from the teachers and government also- it would be great and if the government passed a bill which prohibits the junk food in the schools. Undoubtedly, that would have a positive effect and the number of teens consuming unhealthy food will decrease suddenly.

However, there is something else which we can do for our teen-kids. They need to be stimulated to do more physical activities- they could play football, basketball, volleyball and so on. Playing sports will definitely help many teens lose weight. If we do all these things as responsible parents and teachers, there is no doubt that the overweight problem will be solved very soon.
