The New Detox Diet

The New Detox Diet
Detox is one of the newer diet concepts to hit the market, and there has been huge interest the new detox diet. The new detox diet promotes the need to remove toxins from the body while supporting the principle of healthy eating and weight loss.

The new detox diet is designed to teach you how to cleanse the body of such toxins as alcohol, sugar, caffeine and nicotine. However, the validity of such forms of cleanses are constantly under scrutiny and the jury remains out. That said, the new detox diet has stepped away from the more traditional liquid-only diets involved in the original detox plans. In the older detox plans the diet drank various cleansing drinks, and for at least 24 hours, no proper food was eaten.

It was noted that this was not the best way to tackle weight loss. Therefore, the new detox diet now has nutritionally balanced meals to accompany the liquid detox element. Adding food to the new detox diet helps with the validity of a cleansing diet plan.

The new detox diet is available as a book, and there is some supporting information available on the Internet.

As with any diet, the new detox diet needs to be combined with a sensible exercise plan because this plays an important role in the overall progress of the diet. You need to tone your muscles as you diet and lose weight, and exercise really is the only way to do this.
