Health Food Restaurant

Health Food Restaurant
Finding a good health food restaurant is not hard if you know where to look. Do be careful, though. There are many places that call themselves a health food restaurant when they are actually not. The food is deep fried and they use lard and all kinds of unhealthy things. They say that all their ingredients and supplies are fat-free or have low sodium, but this is not necessarily healthy food.

A real health food restaurant uses vegetables from a known and reputed farmer, who is certified to produce environmentally friendly vegetables. This means he does not use pesticides or artificial fertilizer on his farm. His water is also certified as being unpolluted and meets other strict requirements. In this case, talk to the restaurant manager as he will know exactly where his vegetables and meats come from.

If what you are looking for is a sandwich, a good health food restaurant will always have a great variety of breads, which have many different kinds of seeds in them and many flour options too. Bread is not only made from wheat flour, so they will have several options for you. Their veggies for your sandwich will look fresh and clean, not frozen and sad.

A health food restaurant will also have a good salad bar filled with goodies and will not sell soft drinks. A good health food restaurant sells natural juices, purified water, and different kinds of herbal teas. No smoking is allowed, either inside or on their tables outside.

Another good lead to find out a real health food restaurant is that the waiters, manager and everybody that works there looks healthy and happy. They move around the tables fast and they are very alert. This is a sure sign of someone who is eating healthy food every day. If you are not sure, ask if you can see the restaurant kitchen. They will not have deep fryers, and the smell in the kitchen will be pleasant and full of herbal aromas. If all these things are checked out, congratulations! You have found yourself a real health food restaurant.
