The aim of the fast food diets are for those who have no time to cook, especially moms who want healthy food for their children, but find a fast food restaurant is all they can offer.



The idea of the diet is to eat fruits, vegetables, low grains, and low fat dairy and lean meats as much as possible. Therefore, you should aim for foods that are offered at the fast food location that do not have trans fats. Many fast food restaurants are starting to offer healthy alternatives as well as less salt. Not all restaurants are offering less salt, but some are at least making foods without MSG. At least, that is what the advertisements say.



When you go to a fast food restaurant on the fast food diets look for low fat and calories. There are foods that exist in that department. Many places now have salads with vinaigrette dressing, water with lemon instead of soda or even chicken sandwiches. A chicken sandwich that has been grilled not fried is better for you.



Even KFC has a non-fried chicken option now. The fast food diets are all about making better choices even if you have to go through the drive through. Taste however, could be optional regarding these healthier alternatives.
