What is Mydriasis?


This is a disorder where the eye pupil is widened or dilated for unusually long period of time and does not return to its normal state for a long period also. There may be a number of causes for this; the more frequent ones include the use of some drugs as well as trauma to the eye.








Mydriasis Symptoms


Symptoms often associated with this condition include:



  • Blurred vision

  • Conjunctivitis

  • Ocular surgery

  • Raised intracranial pressure

  • Serotonin syndrome

  • Cerebral oedema

  • Lysergic acid diethylamide

  • Dopram injections
