Transportation is a huge problem in Canada, and because of the distances trucks have to travel under terrible weather conditions almost year round.
This makes it difficult and extremely expensive to have fresh fruit and vegetables all year round. This is another reason why Canada food health is poor but improving slowly. This happens especially in the Arctic Circle, where men and women are trapped without the possibility of visitors for weeks and sometimes months.
