Health Benefits of Sapota Fruit:










Sapota is a delicious fruit belonging to the category of fruits like mango, banana and jack fruit. Its other name are nose berry, sapodilla, plum, chikoo sapota etc. the sapota fruit has its origin in the rain forests of central America particularly in Mexico and Belize but they are easily available in India. The fruit is round or oval shaped and has 2-5 big black seeds inside.


The unripe sapota has a hard surface and the pulp inside is white in color due to the presence of latex. The layex content reduces as the fruit ripens and the pulp turns into brown color. Sapota has simple natural sugars like fructose and sucrose which give it a sweet taste and revitalizes the body. Both the flesh and peel of the fruit can be easily eaten and digested by human beings. Even small children who don’t  have teeth can also enjoy eating sapota.
