The lemonade fast diet is one option you have, if you want to cleanse your body. At times there will be toxins in your body that make you feel run down, tired and even unhealthy. There are nutritionists that believe these toxins need to be cleansed to help promote your health. If you want to use the lemonade fast diet you should consult with your doctor first. There can be numerous side effects from trying this cleanse.



You will combine 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon with one or two tablespoons organic maple syrup and some cayenne pepper, with one cup of pure water. You need to mix this up and drink six cups of this a day for 10 days. You will not eat solid foods on the lemonade fast diet. You can only drink the lemonade mixture, water and herbal teas. The idea is that the lemonade will keep your bowels moving.



Teas are naturally binding to keep you from extremely long bowel movements. With the lemonade fast diet, you are cleansing your colon. It takes a few days to really get things moving. The lemonade fast diet acts like a natural enema to cleanse your colon.



During the diet, you can also consider drinking orange juice for two days. This allows you to move towards foods at the end of the 10-day period. Your body will assimilate to more than just the lemonade if you go for orange juice for a couple of days. You will then be able to move towards raw fruit for lunch, and fruits and salad for dinner. After this, you will be able to return to a normal eating schedule.



On the lemonade fast diet, plenty of things that can go wrong. First, you may not get enough calories, whereby you overtax your body. Furthermore, lemonade is acidic which could cause issues with your stomach. Lastly, it is very easy to get dehydrated due to the excessive bowel movements. The lemonade fast diet is an unpleasant experience even if you do feel refreshed after you complete the fasting diet and lose weight.
