As a result many people are looking for an answer that is both quick and easy. The liquid diet plan is one of the quick fixes people are looking for. Unfortunately, there are some downsides to the liquid diet plan you should be aware of before you decide if it will work for you.



First, the liquid diet plan contains a limited number of calories per day (800-1,000). The foods on this diet are rich in nutrient, but very low in calories. Typically, the liquid diet plan is a milk shake style drink that has a formulated mix to make it well balanced.



You can lose weight in a few weeks by using the liquid diet plan, so it does work. However, you will feel hungry and could be setting yourself up for potential disaster. The extra pounds you shed can come back once you return to normal meals. You will also be unable to lose weight as fast the next time around because your body will slow its metabolism.



In the liquid diet plan you may have enough nutrients to fulfill your body's needs, yet you could end up causing irreversible damage to your body unless your liquid diet plan is supervised by a physician



Instead of trying to starve yourself on the liquid diet plan, you should give your body what it really needs. Most individuals find that at least 1,200 calories a day is sensible. This amount of food will keep you from getting too hungry. It will also include the nutrients you need in the amounts you require.



Along with a healthy diet, you can add in exercise. The more exercise you do in a week the easier it will be to lose the fat, convert some to muscle and achieve a toned body. Exercise plus a sensible diet plus the proper amount of rest and relaxation equal much more success than the liquid diet plan.
