Here are some simple home remedies and natural treatment options to treat ringworm,
- Local application of paste of turmeric is considered to be very useful. Turmeric has strong anti-microbial properties which can help kill the fungi and prevent further spread. Continue application for three times a day for a minimum of two weeks, till the symptoms completely disappear. Ringworm is very infectious and can reappear if the treatment is stopped before the fungus is completely destroyed.
- Local application of tea tree oil is equally beneficial in management of fungal infections, especially when ringworm is linked with athlete’s foot. Undiluted tea tree oil should be applied, though it may be associated with severe stinging sensation.
