Due to the complexity of the human body, with all of the different systems, bones, and organs functioning together, many of the back and leg pains that you are feeling could be related to one another. It is very easy for many to quickly dismiss this possibility or simply ignore it altogether. However, the truth is that the muscular and skeletal systems in your body all rely upon each other.



A very common cause of both back and leg pain in the body is an unaligned disc or pinched nerve in the spinal column. As the body uses the spinal column to transmit information from the nerve receptors in various extremities, back and leg pain can both be tied together if there is some sort of interruption in the spinal cord. One of the most popular treatments for common pains in these areas is visiting a chiropractor to ensure that your spine is aligned correctly. Another easy way to treat the pain is through massage therapy to ease the pain from the affected areas.



If you are experiencing back and leg pain, the remedy for your pain could be as simple as requiring spinal decompression. When you lay down at night, your spine decompresses and allows for the relief of a great deal of tension, however, it does not always remove all of the strain from your bones if you are not using an appropriate mattress or you are putting stress on your legs.



Many physical therapists employ the use of “hang ups” as a means of fully decompressing the spine and removing back and leg pain. Essentially, this type of device securely grips your ankles and suspends you upside down to relieve the strain. One of the easiest ways to ensure that you are giving your spinal cord and your body the release it needs at the end of the day is to lay on your back and place a pillow or two beneath your knees. This allows your spine to relax even more than just getting off of your feet and it works very effectively to relieve back and leg pain altogether.
