Back Pain Diagnosis
Back pain is one of the most common ailments attributed to today’s lifestyle. It can vary from a constant slow pain to sudden and sharp pain. While acute pain is suddenly arriving and may last from few days to few weeks, chronic pain usually lasts for more than three to four months. Long working hours in office sitting at one place without much of physical movement have resulted in back pain diagnosis in almost 8 out of 10 people at one or the other point of their life. It is often difficult and complex to find accurate reasons of back pain. At times it can be as clear-cut as possible either due to injury, fracture, tumors or injections, but can be complicated in some other cases as spine specialists often differ in some cases of back pain diagnosis.
It is however, very important to obtain accurate diagnosis when there is a back pain, because different findings may need different treatment approaches. One should therefore act fast and get back pain diagnosis as soon as possible. Delay in getting a back pain diagnosis will result in acute pain and hindering normal day-to-day routine while timely diagnosis will relieve the patient from pain very soon and help them in improving their daily activities.
Back pain diagnosis is mostly confusing for a layman as there are different terms used for a same disorder. For instance, a same spinal disc disorder can be described by someone as herniated disc or pinched nerve by someone else or may be bulging disc, slipped disc etc by some others. Since there is no common agreement regarding a precise definition for these disorders, a patient gets more or less perplexed. It therefore becomes even more important to get correct diagnosis for back pain as in long run it may have profound impact on the mobility and working efficiency of the person.
Timely back pain diagnosis is very important to deal with long term implications of back pain. Half of the battle is already won by correct diagnosis of the reasons of back pain. However, one should avoid being in bad posture and get rid of the problems of back pain.
