Food is fully responsible for all the weight gains that we may suffer in our entire lifetime. Without food, it would be impossible to gain weight and we must therefore pay close attention to the food we eat to make sure we do not end up over weight. We gain or loose weight depending on the food we eat sine it is the foods that give us the calories that we either fail to burn up and end up being deposited as fats leading to obesity.
If we would all know the calorie value of the food we eat and to ensure that we only eat what we can consume in our daily activities. By paying constant attention to the calorie value of the food we take and keeping ourselves updated on the calorie demands of the activities we engage in, there would be no cases of obesity. Since observing all these issues becomes difficult most of the times, we find ourselves overweight and as such we must start by looking for ways that can help us reverse the situation. All is not lost even if you have already gained ten pounds. The most important thing to look out for is the type of food that has very low calorie value so that you can start including them in your diet and replacing the high calorie foods.
Although dieting alone can not guarantee you the quick results that you may want in loosing weight, it is possible to loose weight but at a slower pace. If the food you eat could be complemented with some physical activity, you would no doubt experience faster results. The type of foods you eat to help you loose weight should be more concentrated in fruits and vegetables as opposed to meat and starch.
You must however take note that reducing the starch and proteins completely may lead to a weak body and should be avoided if you are an active person who takes place in some physical events that require energy. The other alternative would be to take less of these proteins and starch and more fruits so that you can continue to get some energy to keep you up and about.
Specific fruits such as oranges and lemons in particular have very high acidity and as such are good at burning fats. Your diet should be very rich in such fruits so that you can have a shorter turn around time.
