Increase the amount of fiber in your diet and reduce the amount of fat you use in your cooking. Also reduce the amount of salt in your foods. You want to have the slim trim waistline you had before you got pregnant; therefore, you need to reduce the amount of food you take. You don't have any justification to eat for two anymore. Instead of three big meals in a day, take four small meals and spread them all through the day, include in your diet some lean protein which will help you to increase the rate of metabolism and reduce the weight that has piled up in your mid section. Take in lots of water and healthy natural drinks like fresh fruit juice. Do some light exercise. If you have just given birth, you don't want to be too hard on yourself. Take it slow and increase the intensity as you progress. Soon you will be able to carve out a waistline for yourself and lose the extra weight on your body
