You have to burn more calories than you take in on a daily basis in order to lose weight and the best way to do this is to follow a strict diet and exercise. If you want to lose weight overnight, you are asking for the impossible. Well I guess I cannot say impossible because it is possible however, it will be a minimal amount and probably will not stay off. Here are a few methods to use and the results will not be permanent unless you make them part of a long-term exercise regimen and diet plan.



* Exercise 2 to 3 hours before going to bed, which will increase your metabolism and help you burn more calories. Use cardiovascular exercises for the best results.



* Drink plenty of water so that it can flush the toxins out of your system and cleanse your body.



* Do not eat 3 hours before you go to bed. When you go to bed with an empty stomach, you will weigh less come morning. Your body will not digest your food as efficiently while you are sleeping; therefore, you will not have undigested food in your stomach when you wake up.



* Drink a cup of green tea before going to bed. You will burn more calories because green tea increases your metabolism. Try to drink between 3 to 5 cups of green tea a day, in addition to your bedtime cup.



* Something to avoid at all costs is carbohydrates. Your body takes more time to digest carbohydrates and cannot digest cellulose at all. Cellulose is a very complex carbohydrate. Starches are a complex carbohydrate that the body takes more time to digest. Carbohydrates will absorb water as well and make you weigh more because of the water content. They also convert to glucose, which then turns to fat.



* Eat foods high in protein. High protein rich foods will curb your appetite also.



In order to permanently lose weight you need to incorporate a diet and exercise program into your lifestyle, one that you can be dedicated to permanently. When you lose weight fast and lose weight overnight, it most likely will not be permanent unless you eat healthy and maintain an exercise program to build your muscles. Tone up your muscles and maintain your ideal weight with your diet and exercise program as well. Your weight can go up and down a few pounds no matter what you do because of water weight changes.
