Pain In Left Side
It can be extremely unpleasant to feel pain in left side. This type of pain is most commonly felt by young adults and women. There are many different reasons why someone might feel pain in this area, so here are just a few.

Common problems include diverticulitis, kidney infections, pancreatitis, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. It can be caused by diseases that affect organs on the left side of the body, but may also be caused by pain spreading in from other areas of the abdomen.

The major organs which may cause pain in left side include the spleen, part of the pancreas, the far left edge of the liver, the left kidney, and in women this would also include reproductive organs on the side of the body. Pain in left side can also be caused by blood vessels, nerves, skin and muscles.

Some people also have a condition which causes their organs to be reversed, but such cases are very rare. It is best to try to isolate the pain in left side and to decide whether it is in the upper part of the body for the lower part.

One of the most common causes of pain in left side might be food poisoning, which can begin as soon as one hour after ingesting the food. It can be accompanied by vomiting and fever depending on the actual bug which infected the food.

A kidney infection may also cause pain in left side and can also be accompanied by fever and vomiting. Although this kind of pain may also be felt in the lower back area, but can be easily diagnosed by your doctor.

Pancreatitis is a very painful condition that may or may not be triggered by alcohol. It can begin quite suddenly over the course of a few hours. Anyone suffering from this condition needs to seek medical help as soon as possible as it can cause a lot of damage not only to pancreas but also to surrounding tissues. People who have suffered this condition may go on to develop diabetes as a result of damage to the insulin producing function of the pancreas.
