The pain can be physical or an emotional one and it require special expertise to deal with patients that suffer from prolonged pain. Pain management nursing is a step towards understanding the pain experiences in one’s life cycle and provide maximum respite to pain with minimal side effects. Due to numerous advancements in the field of pain management such as assessment of pain, pharmacological or non-pharmacological interventions, there is a demand for pain management nursing and availability of trained nurses who could effectively asses and manage pain.
