Supplements With Ephedra

Supplements With Ephedra
Body building supplements are the most preferred in weight problems, and are considered a trendy way to achieve a perfect body. Supplements provide the necessary nutrients and minerals needed by the body to maintain strength and agility. Good body building supplements include ingredients like protein, phosphorous, chloride, calcium, zinc and vitamins.

It is advisable to first consult a gym instructor or a physician before using any body building supplement. Sometimes, doctors give some supplements to complement some medication for treating some other condition. It is also useful to do some little research to find out about the body supplement that one intends to use. One such kind of these supplements is supplements with Ephedra.

Ephedra is one of the most controversial body building supplements ever released. History has it that Ephedra was first discovered by the Chinese thousands of years ago. Consequently, supplements with Ephedra became the basis of Chinese traditional medicine. Ephedra is able to cure colds, flu, fever and other similar symptoms. Studies have also shown that supplements with Ephedra can promote weight loss and fat burning, increase metabolism, curb appetite, relax the lung airways thereby treating asthma and cough.

However, supplements with Ephedra have some side effects, which include irregular rhythm of the heart and increased blood pressure. This has fuelled the controversy surrounding supplements with Ephedra, with some authorities even going to the extent of banning Ephedra some years ago. However, banning supplements with Ephedra did not affect traditional herbal remedies, or any products containing the element, particularly in China.

Users of Ephedra and its supplements have tried to justify the element, arguing that it is safe, and its usage has been proven by continuous usage in traditional medicine for thousands of years. Despite the ban, authorities failed to prove the harmful effects of Ephedra and supplements with Ephedra, and the ban has since been lifted and the sale of the product allowed, albeit in restricted amounts. After all, deaths caused by Ephedra are nothing compared to the fatal side effects, and deaths caused by several conventional over the counter drugs. Sadly though, fake products claiming to be containing Ephedra have taken advantage of the existing controversies to flood the market.

The most important thing to take note in using supplements with Ephedra is to ensure it is used in proper amounts. Ephedra has been found to be effective in assisting with weight loss.
