Cure a Bulimic Disorder with Natural Remedies

Cure a Bulimic Disorder with Natural Remedies
Bulimia Nervosa is a very serious, possibly life-threatening eating disorder characterized by food binging and purging, either through vomiting or excessive exercise. Some people purge after eating only a snack, trying to rid themselves of any calories. Self-criticism and low self-esteem are common to sufferers of this disorder. People with bulimia often conceal it from families and friends. Bulimics are usually young women or teens, although men can have it. Complications include: dehydration and kidney problems, heart problems, tooth decay and gum disease, loss of menstrual cycle, digestive problems, depression and alcohol and drug abuse. Standard bulimia treatment includes: psychotherapy aimed at understanding and learning to deal with bulimia; fluoxetine (Prozac); education on nutrition and weight; hospitalization.
