Home Remedies For Stain Removal

Home Remedies for Stain Removal:



Milk: Take a bowl of milk and place the stained part of the cloth in the milk and let it soak for few hours. If the milk changes its color then change the milk and dip in fresh milk for few more hours.



Glycerin: Take some glycerin in a bowl and heat it till it is lukewarm. Apply this to the stain and then rinse out with water. It works effectively on juice stains and sauce stains.



Water and white vinegar: Take equal parts of water and white vinegar. Mix them well and soak the stained area of the cloth in the mixture and leave it for an hour. Vinegar removes the ugly perfume stains especially under the armpits. But you have to make sure the fabric is not too delicate.



Baking soda : soda is a great stain remover. Make a paste of baking soda and lemon juice. Apply this paste to the stained area and leave it for half an hour. Rinse well and you can see the stain is gone. You can also spill some soda as soon as the stain has occurred and can wash it off later.



Lemon: Lemon or lime juice acts as a bleaching agent due to its acidic nature. If you spill it on colored clothes it may cause discoloration. You can use them on white cloth especially to remove yellow underarm stains. You can also remove rust on the clothes using lemon.



Borax: Borax helps in cleaning clothes and removing nasty stains. You can remove curry stains on your clothes using borax.



Baby powder: Baby powder works well in removing curry stains and oil spills. Sprinkle a sufficient amount of baby powder on the stain and let it soak for some time. Rinse with water after some time.



Body lotion: You can clean stains off your wall by using body lotion. The crayon scribbles which your child had made on your walls and finger prints can also be removed by applying body lotion on a cloth and rubbing them.



Eraser: The pen marks on your fancy leather handbag looks ugly. You can remove them by rubbing them with a eraser. You can also remove dirt marks on your bag with eraser.



Acetone Nail polish remover: You can remove nail polish stains on your clothes using nail polish remover containing acetone in it. but make sure your cloth does not contain dyes which will get shaded by using acetone.



Salt: Salt works greatly for stains caused by red wine. Sprinkle some salt on the area of the stain and is a perfect stain remover.
