Healthy Weight Calculator

Healthy Weight Calculator
A weight loss calculator is something that dieters use to find out how many calories they can consume in a day to reach their weight goals. A weight loss calculator is a calculation that uses information you put in to determine what your Body Mass Index (BMI) is. You can find these calculators online or you can purchase one. You can use the simple calculation of your current weight divided by your height in inches squared (multiplied by itself) multiplied by 703. The result will give you your BMI.

Some of these calculators will ask for various items, such as, your age, height, weight, amount of physical activity, and target weight. They will then use these factors to determine how many calories you should consume in a day either to lose weight or to maintain your current weight.

Once you have figured out your BMI, how many calories you need to consume on a daily basis to stay at the weight you are at now you can lower your calorie intake, and you will lose weight. This simply means that all the calories are used by your body and not stored as fat, therefore burning more calories.

Your Daily Calorie Deficit is the number of calories that you were not able to burn during one day. If you take in 2800 calories in one day but your body only burns 2000, you have a daily calorie deficit of 800. This extra 800 calories are what is being stored as fat.

Remember that your body can only burn fat if you burn more calories than you consume during the day. When you consume fewer calories than you actually burn your body will get what additional energy it needs from your stored body fat, therefore causing you to lose weight. In some cases where people are extremely or morbidly, obese it takes a lot to achieve the ideal weight that you are shooting for. In cases like this, you need to take in very little calories so that your body will burn a lot more of the stored fat in your body.

Once you have determined what your BMI is you can go by this chart to determine what your classification would be:

* Below 18.5 means you are underweight

* 18.5 to 24.9 means you are normal

* 25 to 29.9 means you are overweight

* 30 to 39.9 means you are obese

* 40 and above means you are morbidly obese.
