Healthy Weight Week
After you have already proved to yourself that you sincerely want to lose weight follow a healthy weight week. Take a tip and start writing daily notes in a little diary. A daily record of food eaten and exercise done can help a great deal in keeping your weight in check, in controlling stressful eating, because in this dairy you make a note whenever you break a diet or indulge in stressful eating.



The ideal way to maintain such a dairy:



1] Record you weight every alternate day at the same time, preferably in the morning.



2] Write down the measurements of your arms, waist, chest, hips and thighs every 15 days.



3] Daily food entries are a must. If you have cheated and eaten more, you must write about it.



4] Exercise of say, half an hour daily or walking for 45 minutes should be recorded.



5] Anything else pertaining to weight reduction should be recorded. If you come across a good quotation enter it in your dairy.



You shouldn't be lazy about keeping your dairy up-to-date everyday, especially regarding the food you eat. If you put it off by 2 or 3 days, it's a fair bet that you will write only what you think you have eaten and will miss out on what you really did eat.



This is only between your dairy and you. Be sincere to yourself. A dairy is an excellent way to analyze your exercise and eating pattern. For only when you know where you've gone wrong, can you correct it. So put pen to paper and go for it!



Keep a calorie chart at your disposal. The calorie chart can make you very knowledgeable about which foods are a no-no and which ones you can happily say yes to.



Avoid fatty meats, especially organs like the liver and brain. In sea food avoid shrimps. In eggs avoid the yolk. All whole milk and whole milk products like curds, cheese, cream and ice-creams must be avoided. Similarly shun cakes, pastries and deep fried food.



Eat fruits instead of high-calorie sweets. Fruits are full of nutrients, they are healthy and they are fibrous. On the other hand, sweets are empty calories containing just sugar and no fiber.



However, do not deprive you body of your favorite food like sweets and fried stuff, binge once a week to keep temptations at bay. Reward yourself every week if you have strictly followed you dietary regime with your favorite food.
