Kidney Liver Disease

Kidney Liver Disease
One common thing about the diseases of the liver and the kidney is that both of them tend to fail to function in the right way. In some cases, these organs might continue to work but in a manner that creates life-long health problems. However, doctors say you can take various measures in order to ensure that you live high quality of life. Of course, the people around you should do the support part of the therapy. Additionally, you should join support groups in order to benefit from encouraging remarks and ideas on nutrition and diet.

The most common that affects kidneys is kidney stones. Kidney stones are small crystals that form in ones urine. The composition of these crystals can slightly vary from one person to the other. Struvite stones are a commonly occurring problem among many patients. Another type of stones is known as calcium stones. About 70 per cent of all kidney stone sufferers have the calcium stones problem.

Urinary tract infections have become common today because people have changed their lifestyles, such that some elements that the take into their bodies in the form of food are not good for one's health. Kidney stones form because of accumulation of such elements. The particles might not be identified until they have moved into the ureter, in which case they cause a lot of pain around the groin area and the flank region.

There is a strong relationship between kidney failure and diabetes. Incidentally, the liver also plays a very important role in homeostasis. When one has diabetes, the body's homeostatic system fails to work in the right way. This is how some people might be said to be suffering from kidney liver disease.

Calcium stones can be large and course or small and smooth. In the former case, one experiences extreme pain. Calcium phosphate and calcium oxalate are the main components of these stones. People with liver complications, cancer and sarcoidosis have a higher likelihood of suffering from calcium stones.

A good remedy for kidney problems, particularly kidney stones, is kidney beans (also known as French beans). The beans should be boiled for six hours together with their pods which should first be sliced. The resulting liquid should be carefully strained through muslin and then left to cool for eight hours before being administered to the patient.

The liver is a very important organ that regulates the chemical functions of the entire body. No wonder diseases affecting the kidney also have a potential to affect this organ as well. Cirrhosis is a liver disease in which scar tissue takes over the healthy liver tissue. Other liver diseases are Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.
