Pukish feeling or commonly termed as nausea is a sensation wherein the patient will feel discomfort and unease in the upper part of the stomach accompanied by an urge to vomit. This urge comes involuntarily.
The feeling is a symptom connected to several diseases especially when it persists for a long period of time. There are also times when it disappears quickly and is caused by normal changes in the body. Majority of the population experience it at some point in their lives.
It is often accompanied by other symptoms that appear when the digestive system and other body systems have problems.

These conditions include gastritis, GERD or gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal hernia, inflammatory bowel disease, kidney stones and kidney failure, hepatitis, liver failure, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, and peptic ulcer.
- Life-threatening Causes. These include appendicitis, bowel obstruction, brain hemorrhage, diabetic ketoacidosis, heart attack, increased pressure in the intracranial, kidney and liver collapse, poisoning, and sepsis.
- Problems in other body systems besides the digestive tract. These problems include motion sickness, cancer and corresponding chemo treatments, concussion, electrolyte imbalance, heat stroke and exhaustion, exposure to toxic substances, drug side effects, migraine, Meniere’s disease, vertigo, diabetes, stress, and pregnancy.

- Ensure a lifestyle that is free from stress.
- Include more bland and light foods in the diet including fruits, whole grains and vegetables.
