The immune system is very important in fighting off diseases and ailments caused by fungi, bacteria, virus, and parasites. Thus, it is quite important that the body has a strong immune system. A person with low immunity will easily show the following symptoms: chronic infections, frequent recurrent ailments like genital herpes and cold sores, frequent colds and flu, and swollen or sore lymph nodes. There is also a higher risk of the patient developing cancers and other ailments.


Causes Of Poor Immune Level


There are a number of reasons why a person can have low immunity. Often, this is caused by improper dietary habits and an unhealthy lifestyle. If the person is constantly subjected to stress, there is a high likelihood of developing low immunity. Other reasons include age, surgical procedures, intake of certain medications, and even some diseases like HIV/AIDS, cancer, and Low White Blood Cell count or Neutropenia.


Natural Remedies For Low Immunity


Is there a way for a person to fight low immunity problems? What are the home remedies a person can use to help increase the immunity that is needed for fighting off diseases and ailments? Here are some suggestions:



  • For an immunity booster, mix together a teaspoon of Echinacea root, half a teaspoon of chamomile leaves, half a teaspoon of peppermint leaves, and two cups of water.


    Add honey to taste. Drink this remedy once a day for a boost in the immunity.

  • A juice made from a mixture of gooseberry, carrot juice, ginger juice, beetroots, and a bit of salt should be made. This can be done by putting all of these ingredients together in a blender and passing the mixed pulp through a sieve or a clean piece of cheesecloth to squeeze out the juice. Drink the juice daily.

  • Try to include a clove of raw garlic and a piece of raw ginger in the diet at every meal. The patient can also incorporate these two immunity boosting herbs into the daily intake by mixing them together in a tea or a juice.

  • Puree a clove of raw garlic and a piece of raw ginger with a peeled carrot and drink at every meal to boost immunity. The patient can also add these two to the food by way of cooking with them.
