Use Apple Cider Vinegar for Weight Loss
In addition to its plethora other health benefits, Apple Cider Vinegar has been touted for centuries as an excellent natural remedy for weight loss. The apple cider vinegar weight loss program is a relatively simple addition that can be applied to your regular diet or on top of another weight loss plan, yet it can supercharge your weight loss while improving your overall health. Apple cider vinegar's many other health benefits include its use as a supplement in an alkalizing diet, to cure food poisoning, in controlling acid reflux, and to moderate blood sugar levels.
As for the benefits of an apple cider vinegar weight loss program, there have been many studies over the years showing that apple cider vinegar can assist in weight loss. For instance, a study published in the May 12, 2011 issue of Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry found that when fed natural apple cider vinegar, the triglyceride and VLDL levels in all tested rats decreased while those on a high-cholesterol diet without the supplementation of vinegar did not experience the weight loss and heart health benefits.
An article published in the February 2010 edition of Diabetes Care shows that vinegar decreased Postprandial Hyperglycemia (that is, an exaggerated rise in blood sugar following a meal) in 10 patients with Type 1 Diabetes. The study concluded that two tablespoons of vinegar, "could be easily used as a complementary food (e.g., in a salad dressing) to reduce hyperglycemia."
Additionally, a 2006 review published in the Medscape Journal of Medicine finds that apple cider vinegar may assist in appetite suppression and blood sugar control.
Likewise, the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry published a study in 2009 from Japanese researchers where laboratory mice were fed a high-fat diet and given acetic acid, which is the main component of apple cider vinegar. The other group of mice on the same high-fat diet received only water. The group of mice on the acetic acid had up to 10 percent less body fat than the other group of mice!
