Pimples on Genital Area

  • Pimples on the genital area are a condition known as Hidradenitis Suppurative. It is a case where the sweat gland surrounding the genital skin gets blocked causing infections and the infection comes out as small pimple-like lesions.

  • Since the genital area is typically covered most of the time, the area suffers more heat which causes it to sweat and then bacteria grows making it more susceptible to skin infections.

  • Also, excessive use of any oils and lubricants on the genital skin can also be a cause for pimples in one’s private parts.

  • There are times when genital pimples are often confused with genital warts. This could pose a problem in treatment since pimples can be treated while warts cannot.
