Hair Loss Diet, Vitamins | Foods to Avoid Hair Fall or Alopecia

Hair Loss Diet:
When you are looking for a diet that can help you stop hair loss in its tracks or to slow it down, here are some dietary tips to help give you a head of healthy hair:

  • There are a lot of different kinds of foods that can be used to help keep your hair and scalp healthy. Among the foods you should consider adding to your diet if hair loss is a problem are whole grains, seeds, nuts, and green leafy vegetables. Oats and brown rice are ideal whole grains to have in your diet.

  • Carrots, onions, and ginger are also good additions to a diet that is made to help hair grow back faster and to make your hair stay thicker longer.

  • Avoiding certain foods is also important for proper retention of hair on your scalp. Avoid drinks that are cold and sugary and limit your intake of such foods like tofu, tomatoes, milk, and dairy products if thinning hair is a problem. Avoid greasy and fatty foods too as well as too many citrus fruits and salty food.

  • Adding coconut milk to your diet also helps you retain more hair on your head than on your hair brush.

If you are losing hair because of iron deficiency, increase your intake of foods rich in iron.
