Symptoms of Pneumonia Disease | Infective Pneumonia Signs

Symptoms of Pneumonia Disease | Infective Pneumonia Signs

Pneumonia Illness Symptoms:

  • With the most usual type of pneumonia, which is the infective pneumonia, the symptoms could occur all of the sudden. These usually start with a pain at the side of the chest causing discomfort during coughing and breathing could be experienced. This symptom is caused by the inflamed air sacs and the narrowing of the lungs’ fine tubes, which is due to the infection.

  • Other symptoms include shortness of breath, chills, fever, and a cough that comes with yellow-green phlegm or occasionally some blood.

  • Chest pains that accompany breathing can also be considered as a pneumonia symptom.

This could be due to the inflammation of the membrane that lines the chest cavity and the lungs.

  • The cough that comes with pneumonia could be dry at the start. However, this could progress to having phlegm that is rust, green or yellow in color and has a bad smell. If you start seeing greenish-yellow phlegm, you should see a doctor immediately.

  • Aches and pains, fever, loss of appetite, and the feeling of being ill normally come with pneumonia. All of the symptoms that could be experienced may vary though, depending on the gravity by which the lungs are affected and the organism causing it.
