How is a person diagnosed with this ailment? How can you tell if a person has TB? What are the symptoms that are present when TB infects an individual? There are a number of symptoms that tell a person he has tuberculosis. When a person consults with a doctor, tests that include X-rays, skin tests, and blood tests are used to determine whether or not a person does have these bacteria in their system.

• Some of the more commonly known and more visible symptoms that may indicate a person have TB or tuberculosis include a sudden and unexplained loss of weight, fevers, night sweats, fatigue, chills, shortness of breath, and even a noticeable loss of one’s appetite.
  
  
  


• When you talk about symptoms that show a person’s TB has infected his lungs, you will notice symptoms like a cough that lasts for upwards of three or more weeks, chest pain, difficulty and pain in breathing as well as when coughing, and the coughing up of blood. 


• Some people who get tuberculosis may not even display any of the symptoms that are mentioned above, and only the tests that a doctor does to help diagnose whether or not a person has TB may show that a person is indeed infected.
