Homemade energy bars are a great solution to satisfy your hunger for energy as well as at the same time are easy to make. They are a healthy alternative to the junk food. These bars can be prepared without much toil in no time. Here are some recipes which you can try at your own house and impress your neighbors' with your culinary skills.



Fruit Filled Energy Bar



Ingredients: Take one full cup of raisins, dried blueberries along with two cups each of chopped dates, dried apples, dried apricots and dried prunes. Take 8 ounces of peanut butter (even almond butter will do depending upon the individual taste). Next, you will need half a cup of sunflower seeds and 8 cups of rolled oats. Take complete three packs of pancake mix with 16 ounces of honey.



Directions: Before greasing the cookie sheet, preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Put all the fruits and the peanut butter and knead them together. Add the sunflower seeds, rolled oats and the pancake mix. After this add honey to this mixture and mix it well until it is fully blended. Pour this thick mixture into a pan and press it evenly. With the help of a table knife, make deep cuts. Bake for about 20 minutes until the time the top becomes light brown. Cool this for two hours and after that enjoy your own creation.



No Bake Bar



This bar takes no time for making and at the same time gives you a sense of fulfillment.



Ingredients: Take half a cup of honey along with one full cup of non-fat milk powder. Take one cup of raisins and one third cup of coconut, which is to be shredded properly. Next, you are going to need a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and half a cup of chocolate chips. Last item in this list is half a cup of peanut butter chips.



Directions: Take a large bowl for mixing all the ingredients. Put all of the ingredients and mix them well. Next step is to add enough of the milk powder to this mixture until it becomes stiff. Remember that milk powder is to be added in such a quantity that the mixture does not fall apart. Then cut this mixture into desired sizes and put them in the freezer to chill. Enjoy your homemade energy bars, which are nutritious and easy to make.
