How To Get Rid Of Oily Hair

How To Get Rid Of Oily Hair
Almost everyone is conscious about their hair. They all want to have luscious, silky smooth hair, and because of this, people tend to use too much products on their hair. However, hair treatments do not always do your hair anything good. In fact, it can sometimes lead to the most unwanted things you could imagine happening to your hair. For example, one of the most common problems that may arise to this is irregularities in the scalp that may lead to oily hair.

Oily hair is quite unpleasant. Indeed, the oils can make your hair shine, but if it gets too much, it will appear and feel very greasy. Dirt and germs will also stick easily to hair that is oiled up. Bad smell can also come from excess oil in hair. Moreover, oily hair can contribute to skin irritation. If your oily hair always falls in front of your face, you can expect an acne breakout. If you are one of those who constantly get oily hair, you can try to fix this thing so that your hair will have this longer-lasting beautiful appearance with minimal hair oils. Here are some things you can do to get rid of oily hair.

Use clarifying shampoo
The right shampoo can greatly help in getting rid of oily hair. For those who have excessive oils in their scalp and hair, the best choice of shampoo is something that contains a mild, clarifying formula, instead of rich and moisturizing ones. If you already have too much moisture in your hair, there is no reason to put more moisture into it.

When you are taking a bath, use warm water to wash your hair. Apply the clarifying shampoo but let it not reach your scalp. Just a slight scrubbing on your hair will do. Wash your hair thoroughly with cold water afterwards. You might want to wash your hair a lot when it feels oily, but the thing is this will only urge your glands to secrete more oil from your scalp.

Avoid the conditioner
While conditioner might do your hair good, it does not really contribute in beautifying oily hair. Conditioners will just add more moisture to your hair which means heavier amounts of natural oils. To lessen the amount of oil in your hair, avoid the use of conditioner.

Apply baking soda or baby powder on your hair
A quick fix for oily hair is baking soda or baking soda. If you wake up with damp, oiled up hair, you can just sprinkle baking soda into it and leave it for a few minutes. The baking soda will absorb the oil. Once your hair feels less oily, rinse it with cold water.

If you are out and without baking soda, you can use usual baby powder. Note that excessive use of powder on your hair may further on lead to dandruffs so only apply a small amount of powder to your hair. Avoid applying it directly to your scalp as well.

Treat your hair with avocado
Avocado is one of the fruits that can make your hair almost instantly beautiful. Simply mash up some avocado and apply it on your hair and scalp for about 10-15 minutes. A massage will also help your scalp get relaxed. After the time has lapsed, rinse your hair thoroughly with shampoo and clean water. This will not just help reduce the amount of oil in you hair, but it will also make it a lot healthier.
