But do not worry as you can still treat your varicose veins. If you are afraid to show your legs because of varicose veins, then here are tips that can help you get rid of varicose veins.

Do exercise
Varicose veins may swell more than ever if you do not do regular exercises. Exercise help in regulating the blood flow in your body and if the blood does not circulate properly, the varicose veins might become more visible. When exercising, you do not have to do intensive workout.

By simply walking, jogging or running, your legs already get exercised. Every morning, you can also just ride a bike and take a short stroll around the neighborhood. Leg raise is another form of exercise that can help treat varicose veins. Whether you are lying down or sitting still, you can put your feet together and raise them straight or lift them up alternately.

Proper diet
The food that you eat can greatly contribute in removing varicose veins. When it comes to treating varicose veins, you should consume foods that are high in fiber and Vitamin C. Fiber will help flush out those toxins in your body making you feel lighter and more comfortable, relieving your body with stress hence, lifting up the strain on your legs. Moreover, Vitamin C can strengthen your blood vessel that promotes balanced blood circulation. So eat a lot of whole grains and oats, fruits and vegetables.

Wear compression stockings
Although stockings cannot really treat the varicose veins, it can conceal those unwanted, root-like veins on your legs. The stockings will support your legs and prevent the veins from aching and swelling, making the varicose veins less visible. Wearing stockings will also give you more comfort. So if you want to go out to the mall wearing short shorts or if you need to wear skirts for a corporate meeting, then you can wear stockings to help conceal the varicose veins.

Note that you should wear compression stockings instead of support stockings. Compression stockings are loose on the thigh part but are tight on the leg area which sends up the blood while support stockings are just tight all over which causes the blood to flow and accumulate down to your legs and feet.

Go to the doctor
There are some medical treatments and prescriptions that your doctor can give you in order to minimize the varicose veins in your legs. For example, you can ask for the best varicose vein creams that you can apply to your legs. Varicose vein creams have special contents that can help relieve the pain and lessen the visibility of varicose veins.
