How To Get Rid Of Whiteheads

How To Get Rid Of Whiteheads
The skin, being the largest and outermost body organ, is what most people notice about you every day. So if you have a flawless skin, then you are very lucky because you can just walk around the streets with confidence. But unfortunately, if you are one of those who often encounter unwanted conditions, then the situation might be the other way around for you. There are numerous skin conditions that can affect your integumentary system but most are actually common and fairly easy to remove. From blisters to bite marks, the skin can reflect all sorts of problems for you and everyone to see. There are also several factors that contribute to these abnormalities. Aside from the ever common pimple, this article will focus on another thing everyone, especially women, hates: the whitehead.

The whitehead is a type of acne that can be the result of many common things: from genetics, fluctuating hormones, to poor nutrition to bacteria and dirt. But most commonly, it is a result of improper skin care. You could have been using lotions that cause your skin to produce this problem or something that irritated your skin and attracted bacteria. But whatever the cause of the whiteheads may be, the real thing is that you must get rid of it and you must remove it fast. Normally, your dermatologist is the answer, but if you are in a hurry, here are some tips on how to get rid of whiteheads.

Wash with hot water and mild facial wash
Hot water will help open up your pores. So when you wash your face, use hot water that your skin can actually tolerate. Then, wash with mild facial wash that is compatible with your skin type. Keeping your face clean will kill the bacteria-causing whiteheads and soon enough, it will go away.

Exfoliate with honey and oats
Honey is known to get rid of acne like whiteheads, so using it to treat your whitehead can be effective. Simply get some oats and about a teaspoon of raw honey. Use this treatment to scrub all over your face, particularly to the area where the whiteheads are. The honey and oats will act as exfoliants and they will most likely remove the whiteheads from your pores. Rinse with cold water.

Eat healthy
Nutrition plays an important role for the skin. Proper nutrition means your will be on its best, blemish-free condition. Certain foods are required by the skin to stay healthy so the pigmentation is normal and it is functioning properly. So if you want an acne-free, flawless skin, eat healthy. Cut the consumption of those junks and switch to more veggies and fruits. Do not forget your 6-8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin hydrated.

Leave them alone
Sometimes, whiteheads will appear and just disappear. If it is just an isolated case, then do not make such a fuss about it. There are times when not doing anything will actually be a better method than to use all those commercial products to get rid of your whiteheads. Just wait for the whitehead to become ripe, and when it does, it will pop out by itself. Just remember to keep your face clean to avoid whitehead breakout.

Go to the dermatologist
For more serious cases of whiteheads, then you should go to the dermatologist. While whiteheads rarely turn into a major problem, there are times when it gets irritated and proper attention from the dermatologist will be needed if this is the case.
