Nausea Causes | Reasons for Nauseated Feeling









Causes of Nausea:
When a person gets a feeling of nausea, he or she may be doing so because of an underlying problem. There are a lot of ailments that can cause a person to feel nauseous and makes them want to vomit. There are also incidents when a person’s equilibrium and balance is affected, and these events also cause a person to feel dizzy and nauseous. Here are some of the possible reasons why a person may feel bouts of nausea:











  • Some of the ailments that can cause a feeling of nausea include serious and not-so-serious illnesses.


    Some of the more serious ailments that have nausea as a symptom include diabetes, cancer, kidney failure, pancreatitis, Addison’s disease, brain tumor, gastroenteritis, and heart problems.

  • Ailments that are not as serious as the ones mentioned above but require medical attention nonetheless and have nausea as a symptom include influenza, peptic ulcers, vertigo, appendicitis, and food poisoning.

  • Certain psychological problems also have nausea as part of their symptoms. Depression and an eating disorder called bulimia are examples of these.

  • People can also suffer from nausea when they are in situations that cause dizziness or disorientation.


    Seasickness, carsickness, and airsickness can all lead to nausea.

  • Chemotherapy, pregnancy, certain medications, and radiation therapy can also cause bouts of nausea.
