Liquid Glucosamine Supplement

Liquid Glucosamine Supplement
One of the major diseases which afflict people around the world are joint degenerative diseases like osteoarthritis and others. These diseases mainly affect the joints like the knees, hips and fingers and decrease the mobility of a person and the ailment is quite painful. Research and studies have shown that Glucosamine is a naturally occurring substance which is responsible for regeneration of cartilage and promotes flexibility of joints. As compared to other remedies for joint disorders, Glucosamine is the only known substance that can aid in regenerating cartilage in the human body. Usually after forty years the human body cannot manufacture the needed optimal level of Glucosamine and this has an eroding effect on the cartilage. This makes Glucosamine an ideal supplement to have, for people advancing in age and for persons suffering from joint disorders.

The structure of the molecule of Glucosamine is small and therefore it is easily absorbed by the body as it is highly permeable through the cell linings. Although this is the case in naturally occurring Glucosamine, many patients found that they were not getting any benefits after taking the supplement. This was due to the form of the supplement. Glucosamine as a supplement is available in a tablet and liquid form as well. Glucosamine liquid supplement is much better than the tablet form due certain reasons. The main reason is that the tablet form of Glucosamine does not dissolve easily, and the body is unable to absorb the supplement. Commercially available tablets of Glucosamine have been tested for their solubility by soaking them in a mixture of vinegar and water, and it has been found that the tablet just sits there without getting dissolved even after a couple of hours.

Liquid Glucosamine supplement has the advantage of quicker and higher absorption by the body. The Glucosamine in the liquid supplement starts getting absorbed with its entry into the stomach. Studies have shown that the absorption is almost 100% in most cases of liquid Glucosamine, while a capsule or a tablet is known to have much less or almost nil absorption. Also the rate at which the body absorbs liquid Glucosamine supplement is much faster than a pill. The absorption process starts immediately as you swallow the liquid while for a pill it may not start even after entering the bowels. Although the cost of Liquid Glucosamine supplement is higher than the pill, it is better to go for the liquid form considering the advantages.
