Prevent Rashes | How to Prevent Rashes on Body and Skin

Preventing body rashes from occurring can be done if you know what triggers them. If you are allergic to certain substances that can cause you to break out with rashes, you would do well to not come in contact with these things. Here are a few more preventive tips you can use to avoid getting body rashes:

  • If you are allergic to certain kinds of food and you are eating out, try to ask the waiter what is in the food you are ordering for you to avoid breaking out in a rash from it.

  • If you find that you are allergic to a particular perfume, soap, cosmetic, or other skin product, discontinue use and do not use it again in the future.

  • Make sure that the clothes you wear do not have harsh detergent residue or other harsh chemicals left in it after laundering. If you have sensitive skin that is prone to breaking out in a rash due to these substances, make sure that you rinse out your clothes thoroughly and hang them out in the fresh air to dry to get rid of any allergens in them.

  • As much as possible, try to avoid places that have plants like poison oak or poison ivy. Try to familiarize yourself with these kinds of plants and make sure you look out for them if you are outdoors.
